Part-Time Day Porter – Downtown Wheeling

$16/hour | Monday–Friday | 20 Hours per Week

Looking for a part-time daytime job with a steady Monday–Friday schedule? Join Environment Control! We’re a local, growing company looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping spaces clean and welcoming.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • Start time: 11:00 AM
  • 4 hours per day
  • 20 hours per week
  • Downtown Wheeling

Please Note: This is a daytime cleaning position in a fully staffed office. You must be comfortable cleaning around employees while they are working and moving throughout the building.

What We Offer

What You’ll Do

  • Vacuum and mop floors
  • Wipe down and sanitize surfaces
  • Clean and restock restrooms
  • Empty trash and replace liners
  • Keep common areas clean and presentable throughout the day
  • Clean around employees while the office is actively being used
  • Communicate with your supervisor about supplies or any issues
  • Follow established cleaning procedures. We’ll provide the training you need!

  • Dependable and able to stay on task
  • Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing a job well
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Comfortable cleaning in a busy, fully staffed office while employees are working
  • Friendly and professional when working around office employees
  • Reliable transportation
  • Smartphone for scheduling and communication
  • Ability to pass a national background check
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, walk, stand, and perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the shift
